(Also known as a beehive tomb). A round, stone-built tomb with a corbeled dome, characteristic of royal burials in the Mycenaean civilization. A tholos tomb was approached via a passage known as a dromos. The dead were laid on the floor of the main room, or more rarely, in smaller, separate rooms adjacent to it.
