Prairie Style

A late 19th- and early 20th-century architectural style inspired by the flat landscape of the American Midwest. Prairie style buildings are characterized by horizontal lines, low-pitched roofs with overhanging eaves, and a seamless connection between indoors and outdors. The style was championed by Frank Lloyd Wright (1867–1959), who saw it as a democratic architecture suited to the modern, American way of life. Web resource here.
