The Nasrid dynasty was the last Muslim dynasty to rule in the Iberian peninsula, from 1232 to 1492. The Nasrids transformed Granada into a thriving center of intellectual and artistic activity, attracting scholars and artists from across the Islamic world. They are best known for building the Alhambra palace in Granada. Twenty-three sultans ruled from the founding of the dynasty in 1232 by Muhammad I until 1492, when Muhammad XII surrendered Granada to Queen Isabella I of Castile. Web resource here.
