A type of iridescent art glass developed and manufactured by Louis Comfort Tiffany (1848–1933). Tiffany patented the manufacturing process in 1894 and named the product after the Old English word fabrile, meaning “handcrafted”. Favrile glass was used for stained-glass windows, glass mosaics, lamps, vases, tableware and other decorative objects. Web resource here. Video here.
